IMC AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words
IMC AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION - Essay Example In recent years, Integrated Marketing Communication, a newly emerging and young academic framework, has become a very strategic and magical bullet that is found to help a firm achieve sustainable competitive advantage. IMC is a careful coordination of varying promotional tools such as sales promotion, personal selling, advertising, event marketing, public relation with a view to facilitate effective brand communication along with ensuring of consistency in every message (Lamb, hair and McDaniel, 2008,p. 413). This paper discusses the advertising strategy of Milky Way and explains different promotional strategies, measuring of the effectiveness of advertising and marketing research approach. Milky Wayââ¬â¢s advertising Strategy Milky Way bar, a chocolate bar distributed by Mars Incorporated Company headquartered in Mclean, USA, is one of the most admired and widely renowned chocolate brand name across the world. In 2012, the company launched an ad campaign labeled ââ¬ËSorry, I w as eating a Milky Wayââ¬â¢ to attract targeted market to a feeling that the bar is particularly irresistible. The advertising strategy used in this ad campaign seems more or less to be affective advertising strategy. Literatures including Clow and Baack (2004, p. 231) and Shimp (2008, p. 225) identified the very basic advertising strategies, that are cognitive strategy, affective strategy and brand strategy. Affective advertising strategy elicits emotions, feelings and perceptions so as to affect the reasoning process of targeted audience which in turn lead them to take a proper action (Clow and Baack, 2004, p. 234). Milky Wayââ¬â¢s adverting campaign in the print media labeled ââ¬ËSorry I was eating a Milky Wayââ¬â¢ is shown in the figure below. This advertising integrated both resonance and emotional advertising techniques. This advertising provides both resonant and emotional messages to customers that a bride is quite unlikely to be present on time when she was enjoy ing the gooey caramel tastes of the Milky Way. Arens, Weigold and Arens (2008, p. 340) noted that resonance in advertising refers to echoing, reverberating and vibrating. Milky Wayââ¬â¢s advertising is meant to catch the imagination of audience. Emotional advertising tries to reflect emotions that motivate customersââ¬â¢ recall of product and choice. Emotions such as reliability, happiness, pleasure, passion etc are connected to Milky Wayââ¬â¢s advertising message. Milky Wayââ¬â¢s advertising is meant to attract customers attraction and to influence them to recall the brand name and thus to build brand image. Measuring the effectiveness of Advertising There are basically four outcomes of an advertising effort, they are; 1) recognition and recall, 2) emotional reaction, 3) persuasion and 4) sales responses. Shimp (2008, p. 289) has clearly outlined certain techniques that can help measuring the effectiveness of an advertising. To measure the recognition and recall of cust omers, Shimp (2008, p. 289) suggests Starch Readership Service, a testing service of a company named GfK Custom Research North America to measure the reader awareness of customers through magazines, Buzzone Research Company to research consumersââ¬â¢ recognition through TV and Day-after recall testing to test customersââ¬â¢ recall after one-day of the advertisement. To measure the emotional reactions, Shimp (2008, p. 289) suggests brain imaging of customers with help of neuroscience, self-reporting of customers and physiological tests to measure any of several autonomous reactions of customers to advertising. A Journey Through Writing :: essays research papers
Writing is and essential part of communication in our society. Soon after children are taught the letters that make up our English language, they are taught the basics of formatting them into effective writing. On the job, usually no matter what it is we usually canââ¬â¢t escape the written application, and we almost always find ourselves in a position which warrants the use of food communication skills. Among theses common forms of writing, others are integrated within the daily lives of people around the world. Some people choose to keep journals as a permanent hardcopy of their existence, and others like to write professionally. No matter what the occasion, there are always a few basics that can make your writing better understood, and more openly accepted. à à à à à In this essay I will explore some of the various writings that I have done, and compare and contrast them to some of the more formal writing laws that have been bestowed upon the craft. The coy bought the bat. Such a simple sentence that I have written so many times in the past in my more youthful days. Sentences like this at the time seem like redundant practice exercises, and they are. But when we grow up (literally speaking) and face the real world, we come to appreciate the process greatly. In that sentence we have all the basics or written communication, and then some. Amongst the noun and subject and so on, you find alliteration for example. Alliteration, when used correctly can be a powerful way to enhance your writing, and make it seem more sophisticated. And thatââ¬â¢s what everyone wants to do right, come off as intelligently as possible. à à à à à Letââ¬â¢s explore that in a little more depth. When I am writing on an assignment, or some other formal; type of writing, the style is usually much different. For example I don't try to use fancy techniques and a whole lot of jargon to sound good, I just write. On the flip side, I don't like using poor language and slang terms in formal writing. It just seems to be more appropriate the way that I do it. But, there is a limit. For instance, the more technical terms and jargon that you insert the more people that you exclude and possibly turn off from your work. Most likely if you are looking in a dictionary or a thesaurus all of the time, other people will have to do the same, and most would rather not go through the trouble.

Physical Networking Essay
When installing a cabling system there are a number of factors that come into play. Choosing the appropriate LAN device, cost of the whole job which is a major factor, and device interconnections. Knowing your codes are very important as well. When it comes to choosing the appropriate LAN device this is extremely important. Choosing the right router plays a part, some routers only work with certain types of operation systems. Choosing the right switch is important. You would want to choose a switch that has a mixture of both UTP and fiber ports. People sometimes routers depending on their price or speed. Cost are determined by the type of LAN and WAN networks you are trying to setup when setting up a network you need to consider 4 physical areas. Work area, telecommunications room, backbone cabling, and distribution cabling. Work areas are locations devoted to end devices used by individual users. Telecommunications room is where connection to intermediary devices take place. Horizontal cabling connects the telecommunications rooms with the work areas. While backbone cabling is used to connect the telecommunications rooms to the equipment rooms, where the servers are often located. If you donââ¬â¢t know the fire codes when it comes to wiring you shouldnââ¬â¢t be installing or attempting to even make wires for the network you are developing. The United States Invasion Of Privacy - 1224 Words
Invasion of Privacy People might not think about being watched when theyââ¬â¢re posting personal experiences in their life on social media. The government has the ability and justification to go through a personââ¬â¢s social media site, listen to phone calls, and read text messages as a way of narrowing down possible suspects for terrorism. The privacy laws in America are what allows the U.S. government to search the digital world for possible threats to the country. Although some say that privacy laws help American citizens keep their confidentiality for medical reasons, also as benefits for social security, I still maintain that privacy laws gives the government undeserved power and can give the impression of being watched . In todayââ¬â¢s society, the world is seemingly revolved around violence. We are always looking for innovative ways to prevent violence from breaking out. The newly formed terrorist group, ISIS, slaughtered civilians in paris due to explosions they had a hand in. ISIS is the worldââ¬â¢s problem today, and their next target is the United States. America can take measures to eradicate this terrorist group, but we are aware that there may be ISIS members hidden in the country already. As a result, the government uses their surveillance technology to search through the digital world in an effort to prevent an attack on our home land. Why Bowe Bergdahl Should Do Time. The United States Army
WHY BOWE BERGDAHL SHOULD DO TIME THE UNITED STATES ARMY SHOULD PROSECUTE BOWE BERGDAHL TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT OF THE LAW FOR HIS DESERTION AND MISBEHAVIOR. Robert Bowdrie (Bowe) Bergdahl is a United States Army sergeant who left his post in Afghanistan 2009 purposefully and intentionally. The Bowe Bergdahl case is an odd case that sometimes does not make much sense. He will be facing court-martial sometime this year for is desertion and misbehavior. The Uniform Code of Military Justice is very similar to regular law but has some adjustments that pertain to certain military rules and regulations. Bergdahl violated one of the most important rules and the first General Order, these orders are a soldierââ¬â¢s guideline on how to conductâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Although some think that is enough to not admit him to any other military service he later joined the Army through the proper channels and with a waiver. Bergdahl actively made the decision to leave his post in Afghanistan in an attempt to raise awareness to the issues he was having with his unit. His plan was to leave from his duty station and make a long hike to another base in the region, causing what is known as a DUSTWUN (duty status whereabouts unknown) and that this action might bring attention to his situation by alerting higher command. There is no proof of how he was actually captured, Bergdahl mailed many of his belongings home and sent final emails to his father before his departure. From my personal experience while deployed to Afghanistan from 2011-2012 I can say it is very rough to put it simply, the thought of leaving your post and wanting to get away from it all is a regular occurrence, but when you are in that tower or driving on a convoy or whatever it is that you are doing and you look out into the nothingness it hits you very quickly and you realize the radical impracticality of it all, you understand through your training that there is literally no way that you would be able to accomplish getting away from whatever you wish you could.
